    Full-time; 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 35 hrs/week

    Monday - Friday

    This position is responsible for:

    Under the general supervision of the Corps Officer, the Seasonal Support Worker is responsible for providing social services assistance to community members seeking Angel Tree (toys for children) assistance and assistance with any other seasonal programs offered by the Corps. The incumbent will schedule appointments, interview community members, determine their eligibility, and perform accurate and complete data entry. The Seasonal Support Worker will assist with sorting, moving, accounting for, and distributing seasonal donations, as necessary. The incumbent will assist with seasonal program administrative reports and other related duties. The Seasonal Support Worker may be required to drive in support of the seasonal programs at the Corps.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Answers telephones in a courteous manner and assists clients by providing accurate and complete information.
    • Schedules appointments for clients in a courteous and tactful manner.
    • Greets and communicate with Angel Tree sponsorship participants based on program guidelines.
    • Screens applications Angel Tree applications to determine eligibility for program participation.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    • Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate in the English language. Ability to perform route mathematical calculations. Ability to lift and operate hand trucks, and dollies. Ability to lift boxes of materials, donations. Ability to load, unload, secure and protect goods. Ability to set up and break down materials at events. Ability to interact with the public in a professional manner. Work is generally performed in a normal temperature-controlled office environment. During the distribution of donations there may be physical discomforts associated with temperature, noise, dust, and dirt. The position involves moving about the Arlington Corps location and surrounding local area where there are fluctuations in temperature due to cold weather conditions.
    • High school diploma or G.E.D. AND
    • Two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting. OR
    • Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    Licenses and Certifications:

    Valid Driver's License and must meet TSA MVR Requirements.
