Join the Natural Encounters, Inc. show team for a unique seasonal role combining animal care with on-stage presentation. As a Seasonal Show Trainer, you\ll work closely with experienced staff to support the health and welfare of our animal ambassadors and contribute to inspirational live performances. This is a limited-duration position, not to exceed 39.5 hours per week or up to 120 days per year.

Responsibilities:

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Perform daily husbandry tasks (cleaning, feeding, enrichment)

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Observe and report changes in animal behavior or health

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Assist in training and preparing animals for show participation

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Support live show presentations, which may include wearing a costume

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Learn and perform show sections as assigned

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Maintain high standards of animal welfare, safety, and teamwork

\t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Qualifications:

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• High school diploma or GED required

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Prior experience or internship in an animal care or education setting preferred

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Enthusiasm for guest engagement and conservation education

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Adaptable, coachable, and a team player

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Comfortable working in Florida heat and high-energy environments

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Available to work weekends, holidays, and some evenings

\t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

Physical Requirements:

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for 8+ hours daily

\t\t\t\t\t\t

• Must be able to work in loud, outdoor environments

\t\t\t\t\t

\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t
