Looking to work outdoors and support essential road maintenance operations? Were seeking a dependable Seasonal Road Maintenance Worker who enjoys hands-on work to come join the Clark County Public Works team.
LOCATION: Vancouver, WA
SALARY: $21.87 per hour
SCHEDULE: Full-Time, MondayThursday 6:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m., every other Friday 6:30 a.m. 3:00 p.m. (9/80 schedule, no overtime), Temporary, 1-2 months

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive a pick-up truck with small trailer or escort truck equipped with signs, flags, and lights for oversized vehicles
- Assist the asphalt road maintenance crew in the installation of asphalt by raking and shoveling.
- Perform vegetation removal and general roadside maintenance
- Support additional road construction duties as assigned
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
- Valid drivers license required
- 1 year of construction or outdoor labor experience, road construction or concrete experience a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Work environment includes frequent noise, exposure to industrial equipment, and fumes from traffic
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while using tools
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving a county vehicle
- Must be able to navigate uneven terrain, bend, crouch, and reach regularly
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
