The Part-Time Audio-Visual Technician supports public programming by operating and maintaining audio-visual equipment across various museum spaces.
Reporting to the Senior Production Manager and Director of Education and Public Engagement, duties include setup, operation, and monitoring of sound and video systems for events such as talks, concerts, screenings, and livestreams, primarily in the theater but also in other locations.
The role involves routine equipment maintenance, installation, testing, and acting as FOH engineer for live sound.
Qualified candidates should have 3-5 years of experience in event production or technical theater, with hands-on skills in A/V systems, rigging, and working at heights. Strong communication skills and physical ability to lift 40+ lbs are essential. The position is on-call, mostly requiring evening shifts.
It is a seasonal, union, non-exempt role paying $38/hour.
