    Description

    Position Purpose: 
    The purpose of a Parking Attendant is to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic in and out of the Bonnet Springs Park designated parking areas by providing guidance, assistance, and enforcement of parking regulations. This includes guiding customers to available spaces, responding to customer inquiries, and monitoring parking areas for any suspicious or illegal activity. 
     
    Seasonal Time Frame -
    Job Start Date: Monday, December 09, 2026
    Job End Date: Tuesday, December 31, 2026
     
    Essential Responsibilities and Functions: 
    • Assist with traffic control during peak hours and special events 
    • Ensure vehicles are parked according to set plans and remain in compliance with all traffic laws 
    • Coordinate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations 
    • Maintain cleanliness and integrity of the parking areas 
    • Interact and effectively communicate with guests 
    • Maintains a working knowledge of general and departmental safety procedures.  
    • Ability to remain standing at assigned post for extended periods of time 
    • Reports all roadway safety problems and signage issues 
    • Conducts all business in a moral and ethical manner leaving no room to question the integrity of the park or its staff 
    • Performs additional duties as assigned 
    Qualifications: 
     
    Experience 
    • Previous experience in a similar role preferred. 
    • Excellent customer service skills 
     
    Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills 
    • Willingness to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed 
    • Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision 
    • Enthusiastic and positive energy 
    • Attention to detail and ability to exceed quality standards 
    • Multi-tasking ability 
     
     
    Requirements: 
    • Pass a background check and mandatory drug test 
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the park’s insurance carrier 
    • Ability to walk around in a 168-acre park 
    • Must have good people skills and be comfortable dealing with the public 
     
    Work Environment: 
    The work environment for this position is mixed between outdoor in heat, though cold weather work may be necessary, and cleaning inside office and operational facilities. The candidate must be able to adapt to either condition very quickly as transitioning from indoor to outdoor could occur multiple times per day. 
     
    Physical Demands: 
    The physical demands representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include but are not limited to being able to lift up to 30 pounds, able to bend, stretch and twist, kneel, be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and climb stairs. They must be able to work with chemicals according to the directions and be able to work outside in high temperatures as needed. Additionally, employee must possess dexterity to operate standard cleaning equipment and drive a golf cart.
