The Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant supports the Registrar team during peak auction periods, assisting with property preparation, inventory accuracy, and packing within a security-focused, procedure-driven environment. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$23/hr

Position Overview:
The Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant supports the Registrar team during peak auction periods, assisting with property preparation, inventory accuracy, and packing within a security-focused, procedure-driven environment. Working closely with Registrars, Specialists, and Operations, this individual will follow established authorization, documentation, and handling requirements throughout the auction lifecycle. Duties are performed under designated supervision and in accordance with applicable access restrictions and security protocols. The successful candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, sound judgment, discretion, and consistent adherence to established procedures. Prior experience handling jewelry, watches, collections, or other items requiring specialized care is required.
Seasonal assignment during peak auction periods. The ideal candidate should have flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.

Responsibilities of the Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant:

• Assist with pre-sale property preparation and inventory recordkeeping under Registrar supervision.
• Organize and reconcile accompanying components, accessories, and documentation.
• Support exhibition and sale preparation in accordance with authorized handling and movement procedures.
• Verify item counts and promptly report discrepancies or condition concerns to the Registrar.
• Assist with packing and release preparation only as directed and following required approvals.
• Maintain accurate records of assigned property handling and transfers.
• Follow all applicable security, confidentiality, access-control, and risk-management procedures.
• Promptly escalate procedural exceptions or security concerns through designated channels.

Required Experience/Skills for the Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant:

• Prior experience handling, cataloging, packing, or managing jewelry, watches, collections, or similarly detail-sensitive property.
• Demonstrated ability to follow documented procedures and work within defined authorization requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Professional discretion and respect for confidential information.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant:

• Familiarity with jewelry and watch components, associated documentation, and appropriate handling practices.
• Experience with registrar, collections management, logistics, or inventory systems.

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
