Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant to support their Registrar team during peak auction periods. This is an opportunity to work in a highly professional, fast-paced environment alongside teams specializing in luxury jewelry and watches.
Salary/Hourly Rate: $23/hr - $25/hr
Position Overview: The Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant will support the Jewelry & Watches Registrar team with the organization, preparation, handling, and packing of fine jewelry, luxury watches, gemstones, and other high-value property throughout the auction lifecycle. This role will work closely with Registrars, Specialists, and Operations teams to ensure property and accompanying components are accurately organized, tracked, prepared for exhibitions and sales, and safely packed for shipment following auctions. The ideal candidate will have prior experience handling fine jewelry, luxury watches, or other high-value or fragile items and will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and care.
Responsibilities of the Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant:- Assist with pre-sale property preparation, including tagging, barcoding, scanning, and inventory organization.
- Organize and reconcile property components and accessories, including watch boxes, certificates, paperwork, and related materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and identify discrepancies for Registrar review.
- Support exhibition and sale preparation, including property movement, display preparation, and organized storage.
- Handle jewelry, watches, gemstones, and other valuable property with exceptional care.
- Assist with the careful packing and release preparation of sold property for shipment to buyers.
- Ensure property is packed and presented according to established handling and presentation standards.
- Maintain organized operating and storage areas.
- Follow all operational, security, and risk management procedures.
- Collaborate with Registrars, Specialists, and Operations teams in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience/Skills for the Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant:- Prior experience handling, packing, or working with fine jewelry, luxury watches, or other high-value property.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with valuable or fragile items.
- Experience working with security-sensitive materials or merchandise.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a high level of care when handling valuable property.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Seasonal Jewelry & Watches Logistics Assistant:- Experience supporting registrars, collections management, inventory, shipping, or logistics operations.
- Knowledge of jewelry and watch components, accessories, certificates, and presentation standards.
- Experience in luxury retail, auction, fine art, jewelry, watches, museums, galleries, or similar environments.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking, barcoding, scanning, or property management systems.
Education Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
