Seasonal Harvest Staff

This is a temporary position in the Processing Department working in harvest operations. This position ultimately reports to the Production Manager and day-to-day reporting to an assigned Supervisor.

Job qualifications include but are not limited to having transportation to and from work facility as well as availability for work up to 7 days each week, depending on location. Employment will begin within the last week of August or first week of September and terminate prior to the first week of November. Responsibilities will include all or a portion of the activities listed in the following section.

Responsibilities

• Communicate well with teammates regarding the status of your responsibilities within the process
• Assist with unloading trucks
• Assist with sampling loads
• Operate tripper on top of dryer roof to fill bins
• Assist dryer operator with general corn drying activities
• Sample bins to determine moisture levels
• Unload corn from dryer bins onto conveyor
• Clean out dryer bins after unloading
• Convey and fill bulk bins
• Transport of grain from bulk bins to conditioning tower
• Maintain clean work area
• Other duties as directed by the supervisor

Physical demands:

• Exposure to a dusty and noisy work environment
• Climbing/walking on sloped floors
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Working in awkward positions
• Ability to climb steps multiple times through the day

Experience:

• At least 18 years of age.
