About the Role:Jackson Hewitt is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Full-Time Tax Preparer to join our team in Tomball, and Spring, TX! Responsibilities:- Prepare and file accurate federal and state income tax returns for individual clients
- Interview clients to gather necessary financial and personal information for tax preparation
- Identify eligible tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds
- Review and verify tax documents including W-2s, 1099s, and other financial records
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Jackson Hewitt quality standards
- Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships
- Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with discretion
Requirements:- Prior tax preparation experience preferred; entry-level candidates with strong math skills welcome
- Completion of Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment or willingness to complete training
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
- Ability to work full-time hours during the tax season (January – April)
- Proficiency with tax software and basic computer skills
- PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) or ability to obtain one prior to start
