JOB OVERVIEW:  The Dallas Mavericks organization is looking for qualified applicants to function in a professional work environment by assisting the Operations team with daily activities and events.   ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Seasonal Event/Promotional Assistant will support with various duties and responsibilities but not limited to: - Assist in physical set-up and breakdown of internal and external eventsÂ
- Must assist with all daily activities including giving away promotional items, interacting with people of all ages, cleaning, delivering boxes, organizing, keeping up with inventory, etc.Â
- Gain a complete understanding of the requirements for each event and implement themÂ
- Work closely with event/full time managers to execute events to the standards of our clientsÂ
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Â - Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple projects at once, and take initiative.Â
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work closely with other employees, vendors and guests.Â
- Ability to remain calm under pressure without losing a customer-service oriented attitudeÂ
- Strong desire to provide the highest level of customer service Â
- Resourceful, proactive team playerÂ
- Communication skills with people of all agesÂ
- Be punctual and able to adapt/flex schedule on a short-term notice (schedule updates weekly)Â
- Be able to receive, evaluate, and oversee deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control proceduresÂ
- Must be organized and can prioritize elements of operational order based on time allotmentÂ
- Must be able to climb ladders up to 15 feetÂ
- Must be able to analyze daily product and supply levels as well as provide continuous numerical updates to the supervising manager with status including problems, and shortage/overages. Â
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Â - Must pass a drug screening and have a clean background record
- Must have a current/valid driver’s license and be able to operate commercial vans/pick up trucksÂ
- Reliable; have a flexible schedule and be available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends and holidaysÂ
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of timeÂ
- Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented, and responsibleÂ
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Â - Applicants must have the ability to move, carry, and lift at least 50 lbs.Â
- Experience driving commercial vehicles and operating heavy machinery preferredÂ
- Must be able to operate in the outdoor elements with varying types of weatherÂ
JOB TYPE:  Seasonal/Part-Time Hours per Week: 0-25 hours a weekÂ
