Job Description and Duties
Are you interested in being a member of a dynamic team, working to combat fraud and protect the People of California? Consider joining the Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse (DMFEA) at the California Department of Justice. DMFEA is in search of a Seasonal Clerk that exercises initiative and professionalism in the performance of a variety of clerical duties to the Sacramento Regional Offices and Administrative Branch of the division.
Under the close supervision of Supervisor I, the Seasonal Clerk will provide front-desk coverage at the DMFEA Sacramento Regional Office(s), performing a variety of receptionist and administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering of multiline telephone calls and referring them as appropriate; greeting visitors and escorting them where appropriate; document management; meeting preparation; mail and courier support; and special projects. Additional opportunities with other duties will be available to support the Administrative Branch of the division.

Working Conditions
This position is in-office only, offers free parking, and is close to shopping, restaurants, and the freeway.
Seasonal Clerks, Student Assistants, and Graduate Student Assistants:
Seasonal Clerks, Student Assistants, and Graduate Student Assistants are not allowed to work more than 1,500 hours in a rolling 12 months from your hire date. The anticipated time worked will be a minimum of 24 hours per week. If selected, the employee will receive an hourly compensation based on the number of hours worked.
