Position Summary

This culinary position requires good communication skills and the ability to lift and carry moderate weight. Food and beverage experience is a plus. This person will be responsible for maintaining the employee cafeteria with fresh food and a clean atmosphere. Providing excellent service, cooking, cleaning, and dishwashing are some of the duties this job entails.

Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

• Set tables with clean condiments, linens and other items as needed according to restaurant standards and demands of the table seating.

• Restock water, drinks, cereal, bread and any other items as prescribed by the Chef as necessary throughout your shift.

• Carry dishes, food, silverware and trays from kitchen to serving counters when supply runs low

• Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning workstations, emptying the trash, mopping up spills and sweeping during your shift.

• Pack and scrape dirty dishes, properly arranging them in the correct section of the dish pit for stewarding.

• Perform other related functions that may be assigned.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Refined communication skills.
• Certificate or Diploma in Food Preparation and Hygiene.
• Must be able to work all shifts including weekends, holidays and late shifts.
• Basic computer skills.
• A team player.
