Sealcoating Crew Leader

Daniel B. Krieg, Inc. has been helping keep roads and parking lots in great shape since 1933. We are looking for a full-time Sealcoating Crew Leader in Harrisburg, PA.

GREAT PAY

You will be paid $32 – $35 per hour, depending on your experience, with the chance to earn even more on certain projects. We also offer a full benefits package, so you can take care of yourself and your family.

YOUR NEW ROLE AS A SEALCOATING CREW LEADER

You will work from April to November. Most days start between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Sometimes, you will need to work late, on weekends, or extra hours, especially when the weather is good or a big job needs to be finished. You will lead a small team doing pavement work all over the area and work right alongside them in the field.

Responsibilities include:

• Running job sites and guiding your crew each day
• Sharing the plan and schedule with your team
• Driving a work truck and using sealcoating equipment
• Filling cracks with special machines
• Making sure every job is safe and done well
• Setting up equipment and keeping your team safe
• Talking to the office about what you need and how the job is going
• Being polite and helpful with customers and site managers
• Helping with measuring, planning, and figuring out what a job will need
• Teaching your team how to do things better
• Keeping trucks and equipment clean and working

SEALCOATING CREW LEADER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience in sealcoating or pavement maintenance
• Comfortable running a small crew and directing daily work activities
• Ability to communicate clearly with crew members, customers, and the office
• Punctual, shows up daily, and follows the schedule well
• Responsible for equipment, job site safety, and quality of work
• Dependable, hardworking, and takes pride in producing high-quality work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and is comfortable working outdoors in summer heat

Experience operating sealcoating equipment, crack fill kettles, and cleaning equipment is strongly preferred. Leadership experience running construction or asphalt crews is highly valued as well.
