Responsibilities:- Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner at the point of sale
- Process cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately using a POS system
- Answer customer questions about seafood products, pricing, and availability
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary checkout and market area
- Assist with stocking, labeling, and displaying fresh seafood and market products
- Handle customer concerns and returns with a positive, solution-oriented attitude
- Support team members during busy market hours and peak seasonal rushes
Requirements:- Prior cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred
- Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, seafood market environment
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in cool/wet conditions
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and seasonal peak hours
- Food handling knowledge or willingness to learn seafood safety practices
