SCRM Process Development Project Manager

PGS Worldwide is seeking an SCRM Project Manager in Falls Church, VA for a 6-month contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The SCRM Project Manager will lead Supply Chain Risk Management innovation and improvement efforts across a large business sector. This role includes developing a business process framework, supporting a technology roadmap, managing implementation of the defined solution, and coordinating cross-functional teams and subject matter experts. The position requires strong project management experience, supply chain risk experience, stakeholder communication skills, and the ability to lead complex initiatives through influence.

Required Skills

• Project Management Institute certification or other nationally recognized program management certification.
• 10+ years of project management experience.
• Experience leading supply chain management projects.
• Experience performing the project manager role for complex initiatives involving business process and automation solutioning.
• Proven ability to lead through influence, coordinate change, communicate effectively, and manage stakeholders.
• Experience with supplier risk assessment, business continuity planning, and incident response.
• Experience with scenario modeling, as-is business practice assessments, or related work in large-scale, functionally diverse organizations.
• Proven track record developing and implementing effective project teams.
• Experience delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and subject matter experts with a high level of autonomy.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for supply chain leaders and executives.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in complex aerospace and defense supply chain organizations.
• Experience working with international parties and international cultures, especially Europe.
• Familiarity with aerospace and defense regulatory requirements and commercial industry standards for supply chain resilience.
• Advanced certifications in supply chain risk management, such as APICS, ISM, or RIMS.
• Experience integrating AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact.
• Experience applying responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality reviews, and accuracy reviews.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Supply Chain Risk Management project from start to finish.
• Define project objectives, milestones, roadmap, budget, resources, and timelines.
• Serve as the central point of contact for business area teams, supply chain executives, and stakeholders.
• Track expenses and ensure project activities remain within budget.
• Identify risks, remove blockers, and resolve issues that slow project progress.
• Assign tasks, maintain team momentum, and coordinate work across business units.
• Develop a supply chain resilience strategy aligned with sector goals and objectives.
• Establish common risk monitoring frameworks and early warning systems.
• Support incident response planning and business continuity for supply chain disruptions.
• Use analytics and modeling to forecast supply chain disruption risks and report key risk indicators.
• Provide progress updates to sector and business unit supply chain leaders and executives.

Pay

• $48.05 per hour
