ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
Our client is seeking a Script Developer to support complex electrical and software engineering activities, with a focus on developing and executing test scripts. This role contributes to system design, software development, integration, testing, and technical documentation within a structured engineering environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Analyze complex electrical systems and support electrical design, architecture, procurement, and testing
· Integrate electrical components into complex hardware and software systems
· Support electrical installation, maintenance, documentation, and testing activities
· Prepare technical reports and recommendations based on user requirements
· Develop, maintain, and enhance software systems based on documented requirements
· Support software architecture decisions, including hardware/software trade-offs, reuse, and COTS/GOTS solutions
· Perform requirements analysis and translate system-level requirements into software components
· Design, implement, integrate, and test software applications
· Apply appropriate software engineering and development methodologies
· Develop and execute test scripts based on test cases and scenarios
· Review software components for compliance with design requirements and document test results
· Support risk management, cost and schedule control, and software project delivery
· Apply industry standards and repeatable processes to software development activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
· Experience with software development, integration, and testing
· Experience developing test scripts from test cases and test scenarios
· Understanding of software engineering methodologies and development processes
· Experience with requirements analysis and software system design
· Knowledge of hardware/software integration and electrical systems
· Familiarity with COTS/GOTS solutions and software reuse
· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate combines software development and test automation experience with an understanding of electrical and hardware/software integration. Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical engineering programs is highly desirable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
