Scrap Parts Specialist / Operator
Location: Coventry, RI
Pay: $20–$23 per hour, depending on the role
Shifts Available: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift
We are looking for Scrap Parts Specialists / Operators to join our team. This position involves working with used automotive parts in a warehouse and production environment. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive work, handling materials, and working in a hands-on environment where they can expect to get dirty.
Responsibilities
- Operate saw and cutting machines to process used automotive parts.
- Cut piping and break open converters to separate materials for further processing.
- Remove and discard scrap materials according to company procedures.
- Store processed materials in designated areas for the next stage of production.
- Retrieve inbound materials from the receiving area.
- Sort used automotive parts based on specifications, model numbers, and part numbers.
- Separate bulk materials into the appropriate categories and specifications.
- Place sorted materials into designated bins.
- Transport materials to the appropriate locations throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory organization and receiving activities.
- Perform repetitive production and warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures.
Basic Forklift Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to move bins, materials, and automotive parts throughout the warehouse.
- Transport sorted and processed materials to designated storage or production areas.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing, or automotive parts experience is a plus.
- Comfortable working with used automotive parts.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where getting dirty is expected.
- Ability to follow specifications and sort materials accurately.
- Basic forklift experience is preferred.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
