Scrap Parts Specialist / Operator

Location: Coventry, RI

Pay: $20–$23 per hour, depending on the role

Shifts Available: 1st Shift and 2nd Shift

We are looking for Scrap Parts Specialists / Operators to join our team. This position involves working with used automotive parts in a warehouse and production environment. Candidates should be comfortable performing repetitive work, handling materials, and working in a hands-on environment where they can expect to get dirty.

Responsibilities

  • Operate saw and cutting machines to process used automotive parts.
  • Cut piping and break open converters to separate materials for further processing.
  • Remove and discard scrap materials according to company procedures.
  • Store processed materials in designated areas for the next stage of production.
  • Retrieve inbound materials from the receiving area.
  • Sort used automotive parts based on specifications, model numbers, and part numbers.
  • Separate bulk materials into the appropriate categories and specifications.
  • Place sorted materials into designated bins.
  • Transport materials to the appropriate locations throughout the warehouse.
  • Assist with inventory organization and receiving activities.
  • Perform repetitive production and warehouse tasks throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures.

Basic Forklift Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to move bins, materials, and automotive parts throughout the warehouse.
  • Transport sorted and processed materials to designated storage or production areas.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse, production, manufacturing, or automotive parts experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with used automotive parts.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment where getting dirty is expected.
  • Ability to follow specifications and sort materials accurately.
  • Basic forklift experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
