Principal Integration & Test Engineer (Level 6) - Contract Opportunity

U.S. Citizenship Required (No Dual Citizenship)

Schedule: 4/10 Work Week | First Shift

Travel: Occasional business travel to vendor locations as needed

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Principal Integration & Test Engineer (Level 6) to support the design, activation, and implementation of advanced test facilities in a dynamic engineering environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineering professional who excels at system integration, test planning, facility activation, and cross-functional collaboration.

As a key member of the engineering team, you will ensure that complex hardware and software subsystems perform seamlessly as an integrated system. You will play a critical role in developing test strategies, automating test procedures, conducting system-level verification activities, and troubleshooting technical issues throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, activation, and implementation of advanced test facilities.
• Validate and verify integrated hardware and software system performance.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and verification strategies.
• Create and maintain automated test solutions to improve efficiency and repeatability.
• Conduct system-level integration testing and performance validation.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system, hardware, and software issues.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout facility development and activation projects.
• Support test readiness reviews and ensure facilities meet operational requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance during facility design, construction, and commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in the design, development, and activation of test facilities.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with contractors and suppliers involved in the design and construction of test facilities.
• Strong background in system integration, test engineering, verification, and validation activities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Operational experience supporting engineering, test, or mission-critical environments.
• Product management experience.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors Degree and 12+ years of relevant professional experience; OR
• Masters Degree and 10+ years of relevant professional experience; OR
• 16+ years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
