Position Overview:
The Scientist II will support technical product activities related to oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, validation, and product testing. This role involves hands-on laboratory work, analytical testing, data analysis, technical documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve product and technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for diagnostic products under the guidance of senior scientists.
- Assist in designing and executing laboratory experiments.
- Perform analytical testing using chemistry laboratory instruments and analyze test data.
- Conduct hands-on wet lab activities supporting product testing, characterization, and development.
- Support oligonucleotide manufacturing, characterization, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Apply Quality System requirements, change control processes, and technical impact assessments.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and cross-functional teams to investigate technical and product-related issues.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test results, and technical documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Summarize experimental results and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry and related laboratory techniques.
- Experience with oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, analytical characterization, or assay development is preferred.
- General understanding of organic chemistry principles.
- Hands-on experience working in a wet laboratory environment.
- Experience with small-molecule chemistry or related laboratory techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of GMP, ISO, and FDA requirements is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and data interpretation skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Education:
- Master s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Organic Chemistry, or a related scientific/technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor s degree in a related scientific/technical field may be considered based on relevant experience.
