This role offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful projects, executing and analyzing fermentation experiments across multiple scales, and supporting downstream processing operations to ensure high-quality, reliable results

Pay $53.45/hour

What You Will Do:

• Execute and analyze fermentation experiments at various scales, including mini bioreactors, benchtop, and pilot scale, delivering reproducible and high-quality data.
• Perform downstream operations such as lysis, clarification, and recovery, ensuring materials meet rigorous quality and yield standards.
• Maintain comprehensive, accurate documentation of all experimental and process data in compliance with company standards.
• Troubleshoot routine bioprocess issues, escalating complex challenges to senior team members.
• Support general laboratory maintenance, safety protocols, and operational best practices to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, bioengineering, biological sciences, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge of aseptic techniques and general bioprocess controls.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting automated bioprocess equipment such as bioreactors, TFF, and homogenizers.
• Understanding of analytical technologies for biomass, metabolite measurement, and off-gas analysis.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills along with a commitment to safety and quality.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience with ambr250, bench-scale, or pilot-scale bioreactors.
• Familiarity with downstream unit operations and basic protein purification.
• Experience with design of experiments, data analysis, and data visualization tools.
• Supporting process scaling activities.
• Prior work in a regulated environment (e.g., cGMP) supporting biomanufacturing processes.
