Description
The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Assistant Scientist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in West Point, PA. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Pay Rate up to $32.14 Per Hour
- 1 Year contract to begin
- Set up and operate lab-scale process equipment for experiments
- Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, and culture media
- Perform downstream processing/purification of vaccine process intermediates
- Support process monitoring assays and laboratory testing
- Collect, analyze, track, and report experimental data
- Maintain accurate records and test results in accordance with GLP
- Document work clearly and communicate results to client staff
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Biochemical/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or related science
- 0–3 years of professional experience
- At least 6 months of laboratory experience
- Strong general laboratory skills, including pipetting
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Proficiency with Excel formulas and linked spreadsheets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, follow procedures, and work independently
- Experience with biologics purification/downstream processing
- Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) experience
- Experience working with vaccine process intermediates
- GLP laboratory experience
- Flexibility to work varying hours as needed
