    We are seeking a Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Durham, NC.

    Job Summary:

    Perform technical procedures and execute experiments supporting sample analysis and validation. Investigate root causes, troubleshoot laboratory processes, and contribute to improvements that enhance data quality and operational efficiency.

    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines
    • Analyze routine data, confirm results are within acceptable tolerances, and prepare results for upload to the LIMS
    • Identify unusual results or potential performance errors and escalate findings to senior laboratory personnel
    • Contribute to CAPA investigations, deviations, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
    • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and processes while supporting improvements to data quality, cost, and turnaround time
    • Prepare buffers and solutions and perform assigned equipment calibration and maintenance
    • Train laboratory personnel in areas of demonstrated competency and support laboratory or cross-functional projects

    What We Are Looking For:

    • A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required; some CAP/CLIA laboratory locations may require a BSc in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology, or cytotechnology
    • Typically requires >2 of experience
    • A minimum of one year of experience in a regulated laboratory environment is preferred
    • Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques and complex testing procedures supporting sample analysis
    • Ability to perform complex laboratory calculations involving batches and specimens
    • Working knowledge of applicable regulatory standards, laboratory safety, infection control practices, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
    • Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

    The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve laboratory equipment and process issues
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when documenting procedures, analyzing data, and communicating results
    • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with coworkers, managers, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
