Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
Scientific - Technician II with a multinational science and technology company in Coralville, IA. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:$27.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule: Weekend Overnights 6pm-630am F-Sun | 100% onsite
Description:Top 3 “must-have” skills or qualities in a candidate- Attention to detail. We work in a fast paced environment that ultimately doesn’t have a back end QC check so we need to ensure accuracy from the get go.
- Flexibility in task work flow. We have several different process that we do. We try to rotate through them, but at times people can stay in one part of the lab for several days or weeks dependent on where we are with training and order volume
- Manufacturing mindset. We are a biotechnology based company but have tight deadlines to meet to hit our customer demands, so having someone that is ok with production work will be a must.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:- Perform the manufacturing tasks to transform raw materials into final products including decontamination process, product transfer, and maintenance connection software.
- Operate instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks by following all work instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures. Strictly adhere to customer specific as well as general work instructions and SOPs.
- Support daily management: assessment to drive problem solving with data and suggest countermeasures.
The essential requirements of the job include:- High School diploma, GED or equivalent with 2 years experience; preferred to have a AA or higher in Science, chemistry. will take fresh out of college with minimum experience.
- Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:- Ability Exert 20-50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or 10-15 lbs. of force frequently
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:- An associate degree - is preferred over a High School diploma
- At least 12 months laboratory and/or life sciences experience.
