The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Development Coordinator for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Clark, NJ .  Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description

Job Title: Development Coordinator
Location: Clark, NJ – 30 Terminal Ave.
Pay Rate: $23.33/hour
Duration: 1 Year

Support Open Development and Innovation activities across beauty product categories, including technical prototype assessments, competitive product evaluations, vendor sample coordination, product benefit reporting, and preparation of presentation decks and technical dossiers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technical assessments of prototypes across product categories, evaluating performance attributes such as wear, texture, and color payoff.

  • Perform competitive product assessments against Open Development full-buy options.

  • Prepare Excel and PowerPoint reports highlighting product benefits and differentiation.

  • Coordinate innovation and follow-up meetings with metiers and present product findings.

  • Assist with technical dossiers and presentation deck development.

  • Coordinate vendor convention show-and-tell activities and track metier feedback and next steps.

  • Maintain project trackers with current development status.

  • Follow up with vendors for product samples and marketing materials.

  • Coordinate sample distribution and delivery to metier contacts.

  • Manage sample inventory, including disposal of outdated samples.

  • Coordinate domestic and international shipment of product samples.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetics, Cosmetic Science, Product Development, Chemistry, Business, or a related field preferred.

Required Skills

  • Product development or innovation experience within beauty, cosmetics, or consumer products.

  • Hands-on experience evaluating cosmetic product prototypes and performance attributes.

  • Competitive product benchmarking and assessment experience.

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for project tracking and reporting.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint for technical and product presentation development.

  • Experience coordinating product samples, vendor requests, and sample shipments.

  • Experience preparing product benefit reports and technical documentation.

  • Experience managing product development project trackers and status updates.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with color cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, or other beauty product categories.

  • Experience working with metiers, category sourcing, vendors, and product development teams.

  • Experience with vendor conventions, product show-and-tell sessions, or innovation reviews.

  • Experience preparing cosmetic technical dossiers and product presentation materials.

  • Familiarity with cosmetic performance attributes such as wear, texture, pigmentation, and color payoff.
