SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

• Responsible for providing mental health counseling and emotional support services to students within a school setting.
• Work with students individually and in groups to address behavioral, social, and emotional challenges that may impact academic success.
• Collaborates with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop effective support strategies and interventions. * The goal is to promote student well-being, improve coping skills, and support positive educational outcomes.
• Review and sign off on therapist and student intern clinical documentation.Participates in the design and implementation of individual treatment plans for their caseload, and monitors and records progress in achieving the goals of the individual treatment plan.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Minimum of a Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology, plus two years of post masters clinical experience in child welfare or related human services
• License must be active in the state of MD
• Experience with dialysis patients is desired, but training is available for the right candidate
• Must have experience working with adolescents in residential treatment
• Experience with adolescent sex-offenders (preferred)
