Amergis is actively hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a school-based opportunity in Adelanto, California for the upcoming school year.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join an educational team and make a meaningful impact on students' communication, academic success, and social-emotional development. In this role, you will work collaboratively with teachers, families, and school staff to provide speech and language services that support student achievement and independence.
Position Overview
As a School Speech-Language Pathologist, you will:
Provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations based on student needs
Support students with a variety of communication, articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic language needs
Minimum Requirements
Qualified candidates must:
Meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
Hold a degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Possess current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of California
Have at least one year of professional Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred (school-based experience is a plus)
Maintain current CPR certification, if required by the district or assignment
Complete TB Questionnaire, PPD, or Chest X-Ray requirements as applicable
Maintain a current health certificate when required
Meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
Be at least 18 years of age
