Care Career is seeking a local contract School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a local contract job in Independence, Missouri.
Seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the delivery of speech and language services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Provide speech and language services as directed by the supervising SLP and IEP
• Conduct routine therapy sessions supporting speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing goals
• Assist with therapy materials and activities
• Collect and maintain accurate student progress data
• Assist with speech, language, and hearing screenings under SLP supervision
• Communicate student progress and observations to the supervising SLP
• Support student and caregiver education
• Complete daily documentation and billing entries
• Participate in team meetings and required training
• Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment
• Follow all state, federal, ethical, and confidentiality requirements
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current SLPA license/registration as required by the state
• School-based or clinical experience preferred
• Completion of required supervision and training
