Position: School Social Worker/Counselor/Psychologist Practicum

General Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Is under the general direction of a certified school counslelor/social worker/psychologist or principal, providing small group interventions and delivering school counseling curriculum
  • Is involved with understanding and delivery of student individualized education programs
  • Individual counseling
  • Testing (psychology students only)
  • May attend parent conferences and faculty meetings
  • Is an active participant in the school community
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with your cooperating supervisor
  • Consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the studen

Qualifications Required:

  • Is currently enrolled in at a college/university program leading to educational licensure and/or additional credentialing in education.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
