Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to provide high school coverage for a school district in Batavia, Illinois. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs during the first half of the 2026-2027 school year.

Position Details

• Location: Batavia, IL

• Setting: High School

• Assignment Dates: October 19, 2026 through Winter Break

• Full-time school-based position

• Immediate need for the 2026-2027 school year

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to high school students

• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments as needed

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, and special education staff

• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings

• Develop intervention strategies to support student success

• Assist students and families with accessing community resources

• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams
