    School Social Worker

    Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities | 2026–2027 School Year

    Oswego, Illinois Area

    Navra is seeking compassionate and motivated School Social Workers to support students and school communities throughout the Oswego area for the 2026–2027 school year.

    This is an opportunity to be a trusted advocate for students, helping them navigate social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental challenges that can impact their educational experience. We are currently considering both full-time and part-time candidates.

    Make an Impact Beyond the Classroom

    School Social Workers play an essential role in helping students access the support and resources they need to succeed. In this role, you'll partner with educators, families, and community organizations to address barriers to learning and promote student well-being.

    Whether you're providing counseling services, supporting crisis interventions, or helping families connect with community resources, your work will make a meaningful difference every day.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide individual and small-group counseling services
    • Support students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or attendance-related concerns
    • Conduct social developmental histories and other assessments as required
    • Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings
    • Collaborate with school staff to implement student support strategies
    • Serve as a liaison between schools, families, and community agencies
    • Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and response efforts
    • Advocate for student needs while promoting positive school engagement

    Qualifications

    • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
    • Commitment to fostering safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments
