    Position Title: School Psychologist (Contract)

    Location: Montezuma Elementary School

    Reports To: Director of Special Education

    Employment: Independent Contractor / As-Needed

    Position Summary

    Montezuma Elementary School is seeking a qualified Indiana School Psychologist to provide psychoeducational evaluation services on an as-needed basis. The School Psychologist will conduct evaluations, interpret assessment data, and participate in eligibility determinations in accordance with IDEA, Indiana Article 7, and school procedures.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Conduct initial evaluations and reevaluations for students referred for special education services.
    • Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, and developmental assessments.
    • Conduct classroom observations, interviews, record reviews, and other components of comprehensive evaluations.
    • Prepare timely, comprehensive written evaluation reports.
    • Participate in Case Conference Committee (CCC) meetings to review evaluation results and assist in determining eligibility for special education services.
    • Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and families throughout the evaluation process.
    • Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and provide recommendations for Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) when appropriate.
    • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and Indiana Article 7 requirements.
    • Complete evaluations and reports within all state-mandated timelines.
    • Provide consultation regarding educational programming and intervention recommendations as requested.

    Qualifications

    • Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
    • Valid Indiana School Psychologist license.
    • Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a public school setting.
    • Thorough knowledge of IDEA, Indiana Article 7, and special education eligibility requirements.
    • Excellent written communication, assessment, and collaboration skills.

    Compensation

    Compensation will be based on a per-evaluation rate or hourly contract rate as negotiated. Scheduling is flexible based on student referral needs and compliance timelines.
