JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction, plans, organizes, supervises, and evaluates the activities of sworn and non-sworn personnel assigned to patrol operations, the School Police Department, and specialized units within the School Police Department; provides leadership in support of community-based policing and school safety initiatives; coordinates emergency management functions, including serving in a leadership role within the District’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC); and provides support to the Assistant School Police Chief and School Police Chief.
SUPERVISION:
Receives direction from the School Police Chief or designee.
Exercises direct supervision over School Police Sergeants ("watch commanders"). Public Safety Communications Supervisor, School Police Officers, Public Safety Dispatchers, Campus Security Officers, and professional and support staff.
