The OSD School Nutrition Team is looking to hire positive candidates who are ready to jump into our fast-paced work environment
Position Summary: Wash dishes and operate the dishwashing machine to assist in serving nutritious meals to students during the school day.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performing daily tasks as needed including operating the dishwasher, cleaning and maintaining equipment as well as the kitchen and serving area, and preparing food for future use.
- Communicating with cook or school lunch manager regarding repairs and complaints or suggestions from building staff.
- Follow proper food safety at all times.
- Attending meetings and in-service throughout the year as required.
- May assist in the training of substitutes and new food service employees.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Prior food service experience in a school or commercial setting preferred
- ServSafe Food Handler training required upon hire.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
The candidate must actively support the mission, vision and values of the Oregon School District and positively work with staff, students and the community to share and promote the accomplishment of those goals and objectives. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Oregon School Board policies.
