School Nutrition Assistant ManagerESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assumes responsibility for operation of the Nutrition Services Program in the absence of the School Nutrition ManagerAssists in training and directing employees in food preparation and service following State and departmental HACCP and other regulationsAssists in receiving, storing, inventory and production as directedAssists in supervision during meal servicesAble to serve on the line if neededAble to prep hot and cold food with minimum wasteAble to assist in ordering, inventory, and completion of production recordsWorks cooperatively with all staff to ensure that District standards in food quality, customer service, sanitation, safety and cleanliness are maintained to high standardsAttends all available countywide trainings mandatory for assistant managersAssist with interviewing applicants according to HR procedures and makes recommendations for employmentPerforms other duties as required and / or assignedMust complete 6 hours of Professional Standards Training every yearQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED required with several years' experience in preparing and serving foods to large groups. Must have knowledge of food safety and sanitation or possess a certification of completion for a food safety and sanitation coursePossesses strong interpersonal skills and able to work effective with a wide range of peopleComputer skillsWillingness to take directionAbility to work both independently and as a team memberAbility to work on a flexible schedulePossesses strong verbal, written, and technical skillsMust meet all health, physical, and background check requirementsAble to lift 50 pounds and remain standing for long periods of time
