Brookfield Public Schools is looking for an excellent Part Time School Nurse

Location: Christian Life Academy

Position Type: 0.2 FTE - Approximately 5 hours per week to support CLA nursing needs. Non- union; Not benefits eligible. Work days are determined by CLA school schedule and run concurrent with student days.

General Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Experience in school nursing and in First aid.
• Provide medical care to pupils, members of staff and to visitors while on site.
• Perform health screenings, coordinate referrals, maintain children with chronic health problems, and act as a first responder to emergencies.
• Skill in concussion protocol, crisis intervention for acute illnesses and emotional disturbances.
• Manage difficult medical emergencies involving student injury and provide immediate first aid.
• Medication administration

Starting Pay - $60/ hour

Candidate must hold a current RN License from the State of Connecticut and at least 1 year of current experience to be considered for this position.
