Job Summary:

Hours: 30 hours per week; 10 month position

Part-time School Nurse opportunity supporting all schools in the Coventry Public School district including Hale Early Education Center. The School Nurse provides daily nursing care in the health office setting within the scope of Coventry School District policy and standing hours as directed by the District Medical Advisor. The School Nurse supports the health and well-being for all students and manages health records as dictated by all licensing and regulatory agencies, as well as professional nursing standards.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Nurse with current Connecticut license
• Current CPR certification
• Two years full time employment as a Registered Nurse within the past 5 years with a preference in a school setting or pediatrics
• Diploma, Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Proficiency with technology
• Familiar with CDC and state DPH Guidance
• Flexibility of work environment
• Availability to provide specific care to students with a variety of health issues
• Professional verbal and written communication with students, parent, colleagues, and administrators
