JOB GOAL: To promote health and safety in the school environment and provide health services to students, faculty and staff; to assist with the teaching of sound health practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Will be required to obtain or be in possession of valid New Jersey School Nurse Certificate, N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6 Chapter 11 with a school nurse endorsement (N.J.A.C. 6:11-11.7) and other appropriate endorsement(s) in accordance with the requirements of N.J.A.C. 6:11-10.1 et seq.
• Demonstrated expertise in School Health Nursing Practice
• Knowledge of Child Growth And Development, Community And Family Dynamics, Current Health Issues; and Wellness Education
• Knowledge of Community Health And Social Services Resources and Ability To Communicate Effectively with Nonschool Health Professionals and Social Service Agencies
• Required Criminal History Background Check And Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Resident Alien Status
• Valid CPR & AED Certificates

SALARY, EMPLOYMENT PERIOD AND UNION AFFILIATION

1. Salary: $65,535 - $106,350

2. Employment Period: Ten (10) Months

3. Union Affiliation: Belleville Education Association (BEA)
