The Madison-Champaign Educational Service Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable School Nurse to join our team at Mac-A-Cheek Learning Center in Bellefontaine, Ohio. The School Nurse supports the emotional, mental, physical, and social well-being of students while helping create a safe and healthy learning environment. This position works collaboratively with staff, families, and outside providers to support student success.

Essential Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and first aid to students and staff as needed
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district policies
- Monitor and manage student health concerns, including chronic medical conditions
- Maintain accurate student health records, documentation, and immunization compliance
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and communicate with families as needed
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service staff, and families to support student health and educational needs
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized health care plans and emergency care plans
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment through health education and preventative care
- Ensure compliance with state laws, district procedures, and nursing standards
Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN License required
- Ohio Department of Education permit/licensure or the ability to obtain upon hire
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous pediatric, school, or special education experience preferred
Minimum Requirements
- Satisfactory results on criminal background checks
- Strong attendance record
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
