School Climate and Culture Specialist JobID: 7867 Position Type: Robbinsdale Equity Allies/Equity specialistDate Posted: 9/4/2026Location: FOE & SEADate Available: as soon as possible Closing Date: Open until filled Additional Information: Show/HidePOSITION AVAILABLE1.0 FTE School Climate & Culture SpecialistForest (0.5 FTE) and School of Engineering and Arts (0.5 FTE) Elementary Schools$29.62 to $38.14 per hour, plus benefits, based on the current Robbinsdale Equity Allies contractSchedule based on 195-day calendarEight hours of paid work time plus 30 minutes of unpaid lunch per day RESPONSIBILITIESEnhance an equitable school climate by partnering with school staff on academic and behavioral interventions, by participating in the school's leadership groups including but not limited to:Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Student Support Team (SST), Instructional Leadership Team (ILT), Child Study, Administrative/Leadership TeamMay participate on the Equity Team within the school for effective implementation and continuous improvement of the school-wide programs and policies to improve school climate and cultureAim to establish healthy relationships between school staff and families by encouraging communication between teachers and parent/guardian(s), help facilitate family meetings, and provide resources as needed.Participate in culturally relevant professional development with school leaders, and support staff designed to increase their skill level in developing equitable academic, social, and emotional support for students.Collaborate with teaching and learning staff to provide supplemental culturally relevant experiential learning opportunities in and out of the classroom that will help maximize understanding of core standards, and curriculum content and introduce equity and social justice education.Partner with school staff and administrative team to carry out the goals of the District's Achievement and Integration, Comprehensive Achievement and Civic Readiness, and Strategic Plans.Foster strong connections with colleges, universities, non-profit institutions, and student services to establish clear pathways for students from pre-K to high school, and encourage college and career readiness skills.Connect with the Family and Community Engagement team, and American Indian Education for student and family resources, and events.Create opportunities for students to work collaboratively in small groups (ex: Book Club, Girls/Boys Circle, etc.)Work with building teams to analyze academic, behavioral, and attendance data through a cultural lens (factors involving racial, gender, socioeconomic, etc.) to provide consultation and develop individualized learning plans to ensure educational equity for all students and make appropriate and achievable goals toward eliminating the achievement gap.Provide individualized student/family services and resourcesCollaborate on monthly cultural themes in the school building and assist with cultural displays.Maintain a daily scheduleOther duties as assigned.
