    Position Description: School Clerk

    Classification: Non-Exempt

    Salary: Approved Classified Compensation Plan

    Reports to: School Principal or Administrative Designee

    GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, the clerk will do a variety of moderately difficult clerical work and related work as required and directed by Principal or administrative designee.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Provide confidential administrative support as directed
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and software applications.
    • Knowledge of report preparation and records management principles.
    • Skill in customer service practices.
    • Skill in communicating both orally and in writing.
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma and two (2) years office experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the required knowledge and skills.
    • Bilingual preferred.
    • Able to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation: critical sensory requirements include general vision, corrected to 20/20, hear or listen in the normal range (corrected) and speak and give directions clearly. Able to walk, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift (exerting force up to 50 pounds).
