School Bus Driver - All Saints Episcopal School

Position Summary

The School Bus Driver plays a vital role in supporting the mission of All Saints Episcopal School by ensuring the safe, reliable, and timely transportation of students for field trips, athletic events, academic competitions, and extracurricular activities. This role requires excellent driving skills, confident decision-making, and a caring presence that reflects the values of our All Saints community.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus for scheduled school-sponsored trips
• Maintain student safety through attentive supervision, positive behavior management, and clear communication
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip bus inspections and accurately document findings
• Adhere to all applicable transportation and traffic regulations
• Communicate with transportation coordinator, coaches, sponsors, and school staff regarding travel logistics
• Ensure cleanliness and support basic maintenance needs of the bus
• Respond calmly and effectively during unexpected or emergency situations
• Assist individuals with loading, unloading, and securing equipment as needed

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License with required passenger and school bus endorsements
• Clean driving record and ability to meet state and federal background and safety requirements
• Proven ability to maintain situational awareness and student safety
• Excellent communication skills and professionalism when interacting with students, staff, and families
• Physical capability to support the loading and unloading of gear or equipment as necessary
