Description
A health services organization in New York is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join their school-based mental health program in Westchester County.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 4:30pm
- Setting: School-based mental health program
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caseload of students in grades 6 through 12 within a short-term clinical mental health program
- Participate in admissions and complete initial clinical assessments
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy services
- Deliver crisis intervention and support behavioral stabilization
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, complete documentation, and assist with discharge planning and community referrals
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Social Work experience
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Active NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Clinical therapeutic skills working with children
- Group Therapy and/or Crisis Intervention skills
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual
- Experience working in a mental health setting
- Experience supporting adolescents
