    Location: Multiple School-Based Health Sites throughout Muskegon County

    What You''ll Do

    Under the direction of the School Program Manager, the School-Based Health Receptionist Float will:

    • Welcome students, families, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
    • Register patients and accurately collect demographic and insurance information.
    • Verify and update insurance information.
    • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
    • Obtain and document required consents and registration paperwork.
    • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    • Assist with outreach efforts to help fill provider schedules and improve patient access to care.
    • Travel to multiple school-based health centers throughout Muskegon County as needed.
    • Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

    Job Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
    • One to two years of experience working with school-aged children preferred.
    • Medical office, patient registration, or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation to travel between school locations.
