    School-Based Health Receptionist Float
    Job Type: Full-time / Non-Exempt
    Location: Multiple School-Based Health Sites throughout Muskegon County

    What You'll Do
    Under the direction of the School Program Manager, the School-Based Health Receptionist Float will:
    1. Welcome students, families, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
    2. Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries.
    3. Register patients and accurately collect demographic and insurance information.
    4. Verify and update insurance information.
    5. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
    6. Obtain and document required consents and registration paperwork.
    7. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
    8. Assist with outreach efforts to help fill provider schedules and improve patient access to care.
    9. Travel to multiple school-based health centers throughout Muskegon County as needed.
    10. Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

    Job Qualifications
    1. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
    2. One to two years of experience working with school-aged children preferred.
    3. Medical office, patient registration, or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
    4. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
    5. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    6. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    7. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between school locations.
