Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire a Registered Nurse. Our benefits package includes:Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance with company contributionIRA with company matchingSCHOOL NURSE RESPONSIBILITIESProvide direct, individualized nursing care to one student throughout the school day.Monitor the student's ongoing medical status (respiratory, seizure activity, blood glucose, vitals, etc.) and respond promptly to changes.Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to the student's care plan (e.g., trach care, suctioning, tube feeding, catheterization).Maintain continuous supervision to ensure safety during class, transitions, lunch, recess, and specials.Document all care provided and communicate updates to families, school staff, and district nursing leadership.Follow the student's Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP) and Emergency Action Plan, including readiness to respond to medical emergencies.Support the student during transportation, if required (bus nurse).Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure the student can access instruction safely.Maintain all equipment and supplies needed for daily care and ensure they are clean, functional, and available.Uphold confidentiality and adhere to school, district, and state nursing guidelines.SCHOOL NURSE QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Nursing.Has obtained or is eligible for an endorsement as a School Nurse as prescribed in the bylaws of the State Department of Education.Experience or specialized training in the field of pediatric mental health is preferred.
