Description

CTG is seeking to fill a Scheduling Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Senior IMS Systems Programmer position for our client. Location: Remote Duration: Ongoing Contract Duties: Perform mainframe scheduling migrations to IBM Z Workload Scheduler. Analyze and replace existing batch scheduling products and resolve migration issues. Monitor workloads using ISPF and utilize Dynamic Workload Console as needed. Investigate reports, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Develop and maintain technical documentation for migration activities. Collaborate with internal employees, project managers, contractors, and client teams. Support scheduling environments and provide technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. Skills: IBM Z Workload Scheduler z/OS, OS/390, TSO/ISPF JCL Mainframe batch scheduling and workload automation CA/Broadcom scheduling tools, including CA-7, ESP, Jobtrac BMC Control-M ASG Zeke/Zebb Dynamic Workload Console Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills REXX and Workload Automation Programming Language preferred Experience: 5+ years of mainframe experience with OS/390 or z/OS. 5+ years of IBM Z Workload Scheduler experience. Experience migrating mainframe scheduling products to IBM Z Workload Scheduler strongly preferred. Strong TSO/ISPF editing and JCL experience. Experience with other mainframe scheduling platforms such as CA-7, CA-ESP, and BMC Control-M. Basic z/OS system programming knowledge is advantageous. Open systems scheduling experience with Windows, UNIX, or Linux is a plus. Project management or technical pre-sales experience is a plus. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $80.00 to $110.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
