    Description

    The Scheduling Coordinator will coordinate and schedule surgeries, post-op appointments, surgical clearances, pre-admission testing, procedures, diagnostic testing, and referrals. In addition this person will obtain insurance authorizations and provide patient education.

    Henry Ford Health is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Coordinator to support our Cancer prevention and screening program. In this role you will serve as the Cancer Screening Scheduler to primarily support the Central market Lung Cancer Screening Program with other system standardization duties as well. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collaborating closely with physicians, radiology, and patients to coordinate cancer screenings for eligible patients. In addition, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and compiling data related to screenings for presentation at various governance committees. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and proficiency with computer systems and software applications including Microsoft office experience: Word, Excel, Power point.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Graduation from high school or equivalent.? Experience in a clinical or health care setting Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service and observance of organization protocol Ability to maintain team-orientated relationships with managers, physicians, and other clinical staff. Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and suggest strategies to address and/or improve those issues. Highly organized and meticulous about details. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
