JOB DUTIESDevelop and maintain weekly schedules for approximately 80–100 Direct Support Professionals, including part-time supports and Emergency Staffing servicesProactively identify and resolve staffing challengesDevelop multiple contingency plans for unexpected staffing needsCommunicate clearly, promptly, and respectfully so employees remain informedFind solutions for time-off requests, resignations, call-ins, no-shows, new-hire training, holidays, employee transfers, and other coverage challengesParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to after-hours staffing calls as neededReview time-off requests in relation to available PTO balances, staffing vacancies, and applicable leave programsPrepare or assist with weekly overtime reports for managementPromptly update reports to reflect open shifts, staffing changes, and employee transfersMaintain knowledge of required staffing ratios at each worksite and help ensure compliance at all timesExercise sound independent judgment while operating within established policies and proceduresComplete required professional-development assignments in a timely mannerPromote Missouri Certification Principles and help ensure applicable contract requirements are followedMEETINGS AND COLLABORATIONMeet with Area Directors and the other Scheduling Coordinators to review staffing needs, questions, and operational updatesAttend meetings with Human Resources, the Senior Scheduling Coordinator, the Training Coordinator, and the COO to review onboarding, offboarding, staffing statistics, and opportunities for improvementAttend leadership meetings as scheduledAttend other meetings as neededJOB REQUIREMENTSAssociate degree or equivalent relevant experienceAt least two years of experience in staff scheduling, human resources, workforce coordination, or a related fieldStrong organization, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentComputer proficiency and the ability to learn job-related scheduling and workforce-management softwareAbility to work with and respect people with developmental disabilitiesConfidence interacting with people of all ages and with a variety of disabilitiesValid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insuranceAbility to pass all required federal, state, and agency background checksAbility to obtain and maintain required CPR/First Aid and Abuse/Neglect trainingReliable cell phone access for on-call responsibilitiesJob Type: Full-time In-office positionFull-time, hourlyParticipation in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule may be requiredKEY RESULTS AREAStaff Scheduling: Approximately 80% of this position's responsibilities involve effectively and proactively managing the schedules of 80–100 Direct Support Professionals.
