    Position Summary:

    Maintains nursing department schedules and in-servicing while tracking budgeted hours.

    Essential Functions:

    • Because Brookhaven exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care
    • Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one's feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift frequently a minimum of 10 pounds and up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Must follow Brookhaven Policy and Procedures
    • Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements
    • Monitor nursing department hours daily
    • Maintain attendance records for nursing department and initiate appropriate disciplinary process related to attendance issues
    • Maintains records of nursing department in-servicing
    • Plans in-service education as directed by DON and LNHA
    • Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
    • Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors Assists in payroll processing
    • All other duties as assigned

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Computer skills recommended.
    • Customer service, administrative and organizational skills required.
    • Experience with scheduling for a nursing department required.
    • Current STNA License
