COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
• $20–$25 per hour
• 8-hour shifts, Mondays and Tuesdays only
• Long-term temporary assignment

ROLE IMPACT
Support patients by providing efficient, compassionate scheduling assistance in a high-volume call environment. This role handles approximately 75–100 calls per day with an average handle time of about 5 minutes. Success requires patience, professionalism, and a positive approach, particularly when assisting elderly patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Handle approximately 75–100 inbound and/or outbound patient calls per day.
• Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently while maintaining an average handle time of approximately 5 minutes.
• Verify medical insurance coverage and eligibility, identify inactive coverage, and communicate applicable insurance co-pays.
• Assist patients with account balances and billing amounts, determine applicable self-pay or sliding-fee amounts, and take payments over the phone.
• Communicate scheduling information clearly, help resolve routine patient questions or concerns, and provide referral status information when applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of customer service experience.
• Strong verbal communication, active listening, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays and manage a high-volume call environment.

CORE TOOLS & SYSTEMS
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Patient scheduling systems
• Customer relationship management (CRM) or call management systems
• Standard computer and data-entry applications

PREFERRED SKILLS
• Previous clinical or healthcare experience.
• Bilingual Spanish.
• Experience assisting elderly patients or customers with patience and compassion.
